One of the national favorite is a cake called a Pavlova. Here we are celebrating Coralie Lowes birthday, she is the blonde and is from Sydney here fixing up a rental she owns, along with Melody, another single sister from our branch. A Pavlova has a merangue center covered with whip cream, decorated with fruit, and then sprinkled with chocolate. It is full of sugar. We invited the two young elders over for desert and by the time we were through the whole thing disappeared.
When you think of Australia you naturally think of Kangaroos. Here's the proof. These pets are kept by a member, Sister Bell, who operates a Caravan Park in Drummond Cove Australia, just 10 minutes north of Geraldton. They invited us for tea (dinner) and we got to spend some time with the Kangaroos!
